First was conversion of office into game room
beautiful round oak table with glass top

now used for mahjong cards puzzles.
Next the emptying of bookcases
don’t need preaching aids anymore
left commentaries in church office
laptop desktop almost empty
got rid of folders real and paper --
gone!
There is still one bookcase with bibles

stack of Disciple Bible Studies never used
the study that opened my mind to God's guidance.
There is more to purge plenty of time.
First foray to new church was wonderful
maybe search won’t be difficult.
As much pickleball as this old body can stand
mahjong twice a week
prayer life has picked up
reading fiction
watching Netflix without guilt
yesterday was lunch and movie!
Something strange happened with blood pressure
suddenly has become so low
I have stopped taking pills for it
could that really be possible just from retirement?
Maybe because distressing floating anxieties
about Sundays responsibilities people
are dissipating as if wind is blowing
maybe wind IS blowing!
Trip to Iceland around the corner
temps don't exceed 68 F windy

then family trip to Myrtle Beach in September
maybe it all will become boring at some point
